The Right to Information Act 2005, enforces transparency and accountability in the working of the Public Authority. Democracy is by the people, for the people and of the people, in which without transparency and accountability the target goal could not be achieved. This act redresses the grievance of the public and empower them to get information across the table of the public authority as a matter of their right. The Act not only fulfills the public desire and expectation of the government functionaries but also pave way to provide useful information and support for furtherance of the good governance. The accountability fixed on the public authorities through this Act make them to work in a better way, for the betterment of the public and Government. The Department is responsible for preparing architectural designs for Government building projects. The Chief Architect/Additional Chief Architect gives broad design guidelines to the concerned Senior Architect/Architect for initiating design of a project. Thereafter, design is evolved and worked- out by the concerned Senior Architect/Architect and his Assistant Architect and the team of draftsmen , under the overall guidance of the Chief Architect/Additional Chief Architect . |

After an architectural project is proposed by an Administrative Department, scope of work including schedule of requirements is furnished to this Department Survey Plan of the proposed site is supplied by P.W.D,B&R. For designing a project , this Department studies the development conditions laid for the proposed site. Accordingly, the Department prepares an architectural design meeting with the development regulations and scope of work furnished by the user Department. After interaction with the user Department, the design is finalized and got approved from the user Department.
